April 2011
Two weeks ago, when the Republican House had put forward a budget that will have huge consequences potentially to the country, and when I gave a speech about my budget and how I felt that we needed to invest in education and infrastructure and making sure that we had a strong safety net for our seniors even as we were closing the deficit, during that entire week the dominant news story wasn’t about these huge, monumental choices that we’re going to have to make as a nation. It was about my birth certificate. And that was true on most of the news outlets that were represented here.
We’ve got some enormous challenges out there. There are a lot of folks out there who are still looking for work. Everybody is still suffering under high gas prices. We’re going to have to make a series of very difficult decisions about how we invest in our future but also get a hold of our deficit and our debt — how do we do that in a balanced way.
We do not have time for this kind of silliness. We’ve got better stuff to do. I’ve got better stuff to do. We’ve got big problems to solve. And I’m confident we can solve them, but we’re going to have to focus on them — not on this.
” —Barack Obama on the issue of his birth certificate. (via jf は愛人。: )NEVER! I do NOT want SXSW in San Antonio!
Mind numbing. I can’t believe you took the time to write this complete nonsense. Honestly, It’s stunning. There is zero chance Austin will let SXSW move away. And to San Antonio, the hotbed of culture and cool? You should be embarrassed for publishing this. What a joke.
No way, it will never happen.. When people think Rock Music they think Austin. When people think San Antonio they think overeating and alcohol and Tejano.
Will never happen.
Currently.
109. She Doesn’t Get It-The Format
Suddenly between sheets and eyelids I am reminded why I don’t do this. I fall in love far too quickly, I never want her to forget me. When you’re gone, will you call? Will you write?
So much love for this band.

The Civil Wars - 20 Years
There’s a note, underneath your front door.
That I wrote twenty years ago.
Yellow paper and a faded picture;
and a secret, in an envelope.There’s no reasons, no excuses.
There’s no second hand alibis.
Just some black ink, on some blue lines,
And a shadow you won’t recognize.In the mean time, I’ll be waiting;
For twenty years, twenty more.
I’ll be praying for redemption.
And your note underneath my door.
I never post my ask link or ask for people to put things in my ask box, but I’m really bored. So ask me things, talk to me, tell me anything.
